When I looked at the flower straight on I noticed the star shape in the middle. I knew I wanted to accent it with its original color to make it really POP.

Yay! I don't even have to ask if you're enjoying the camera... I can tell! I'm so glad I didn't send it off with my mom on her vacation. You're appreciating it much more than she would.
Your photos are fabulous! I like how that fuchsia colour bleeds outward from the center along the grooves in the petals in this picture. And I almost didn't see the subtle colour of the water droplets in the picture in your next post... I love it!
